Authorities do not have doorbell camera footage from the night Nancy Guthrie disappeared, Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed at a news conference Tuesday.
He said no suspects have yet been identified in the case of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, even though authorities have “hundreds of leads.”
While authorities frantically searched for her, President Trump called for Nancy’s return today, fearing she would not survive without the vital medications she must take every day.
The Daily Mail revealed how Nancy, 84, may have been kidnapped from her $1 million home in Tucson, Arizona, late Saturday or early Sunday, according to police.
Meanwhile, the Today Show host was not at the host’s desk for a second day on Tuesday as the search for his mother continued.
Guthrie made a heartbreaking plea to fans on Monday to keep Nancy in their prayers to help her “bring her home.”

Sheriff says they were unable to obtain doorbell footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos laughed when asked why he didn’t yet have security footage of Nancy Guthrie’s home.
‘That’s what I tell them, why can’t I have this? “We asked them, they know the urgency here,” Nanos told reporters on Tuesday.
‘I’m like you, what do you mean I don’t know this now?’
After learning that Nancy’s doorbell camera had been removed from her home, the sheriff’s office implored the public to submit any security footage that would assist in the investigation.

“We hope so,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said when asked by a reporter if deputies were looking for a person still alive.
Although tight-lipped about many details of the investigation, Nanos told reporters: ‘We have someone whose life is in danger.’
Police investigating ‘hundreds’ of clues
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said his department is flooded with ‘hundreds’ of leads in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
‘We have a team to look after all our candidates. “They are investigating all of these,” he said.
‘We share all our leads with the FBI. They help us assess how good these prospects are and where their priorities should be.’
Sheriff refuses to say if there is a ransom demand for Nancy Guthrie
After Today star Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother was kidnapped over the weekend, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos was asked if ‘any demands were made by the kidnappers.’
Speaking at a press conference in Tucson, Arizona, on Tuesday, Nanos digressed and said: ‘We have all kinds of investigative leads that we’re working on.’
Another reporter in the room noticed Nanos’ evasiveness and said: ‘You were asked if there was a ransom, you didn’t say no… does that mean there’s a ransom coming?’
Once again Nanos dodged the question and simply said: ‘We are following all leads.’
Border Patrol dogs helped search
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) offered its dogs to assist in the search for Nancy Guthrie.
‘CBP’s role in the search and rescue mission was dogs; “If we needed help from other federal agencies, they would help too,” he said.
Sheriff refuses to say whether kidnapping was random or targeted
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos declined to say whether Nancy Guthrie’s abduction was random or targeted.
When asked whether this was a targeted abduction or a random abduction, or whether more than one person was involved, he simply replied: ‘We don’t know.’
When asked why he said there was no further threat to the public despite no arrests or concrete information, Nanos said, ‘Well, there’s always crime in Tucson.’
FBI assists Nancy Guthrie investigation
Jon Edwards, assistant special agent in charge of the FBI’s Tucson office, said his agency was assisting local police in the investigation.
“We download and analyze cell phones, obtain cell tower information, conduct interviews and provide any investigative support the sheriff’s department needs,” he said at Tuesday’s press conference.
‘We’re looking at this from all angles, but we need your help on this. If you live in the area or saw something on the night of Saturday, January 31, or the morning of Sunday, February 1, please report it to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department or the FBI.’
Sheriff thanks media for shedding light on case
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos opened the press conference by thanking the media for their interest in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
‘I understand there is a lot of interest in this, rightly so, I appreciate that and I thank you for that, because it has generated a lot of potential customers for us,’ he said.
‘And we follow those leads and do things with evidence that you would expect us to do.’

In a separate upload, the 61-year-old posted a photo of Guthrie and his mother together on the Today show, along with a prayer emoji and a loving heart.
