A massive fire broke out in Port Talbot, Wales, as the skies above the Welsh town filled with smoke. The massive fire, visible 12 miles from Swansea, broke out on Dock Road.

A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said crews were dealing with a fire involving around 200 tonnes of commercial waste. Images taken from the scene show dense smoke rising from the large industrial centre. Police confirmed they had received a number of calls about a serious fire in the area.

Local people were asked to keep their windows and doors closed.
