The boy who went bush

This timeless image of Matthew Naughton (depicted with a rabbit trap around his neck) Valley sound Front page in 1978.
Naughton was one of the three local men who built a temporary house just a few kilometers from the suburb to escape the pressure of being young and unemployed.
When I met them, “Runayway”, sitting around a Billy Tea -drinking fire, agreed to tell the stories of the newspaper that the hide was a secret.
