William Shatner shares life advice and wisdom on his 95th birthday

William Shatner shared his wisdom on his 95th birthday.
The actor revealed two things he has learned in his 95 years of life: chirp He texted me on Sunday.
“I’m 95 years old, I still smoke! I’ve learned two things: Never waste a good cigar. Never trust anyone who says you should ‘act your age’.”
In honor of his birthday, the “Star Trek” star also shared two photos of himself, one of him smiling on the beach and the other of him smoking a cigar.

His advice came a week after he revealed he needed surgery following a riding accident last year.
Shatner shared the surgery news at the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films’ 53rd annual Saturn Awards in Burbank, California.

The actor said: “I ride horses that can compete in horsemanship skills, that come down quickly and that glide to a stop. And I rode the horse that I have.”
“And he had a habit of going too far sideways, about six inches,” he added. “And I ride him. And I’m ready. And he goes [too fast and sent him flying]”
“I’m not a young stuntman anymore. I started to roll but I hit my shoulder on the ground. So I ruined my shoulder,” he explained.
He had told the audience that he was scheduled to have “a new type of shoulder surgery called reverse or something” on March 11.
Adding: “You put the ball into the socket, the socket into the object, 10 hours later you come out and are pain free. That’s what I’m moving towards.”
On March 12, he updated his Instagram followers about his shoulder surgery.
He also addressed rumors that his shoulder was “shattered” and noted that it was a “routine procedure.”
Adding: “I’m doing so well that I’ll be at a convention in Cleveland tomorrow.”

Last year, Shatner opened up about tinnitus, a health condition he’s had since the 1990s.

The actor talked about living with tinnitus in a promotional video for his nonprofit Tinnitus Quest.
“My journey with tinnitus started while shooting a movie”Star TrekI was very close to the episode called ‘Arena’ and the special effects exploding. And as a result, I had permanent tinnitus,” Shatner explained.
He continued: “And over the years I’ve had many ups and downs with tinnitus, and I know from firsthand experience how difficult it can be.”
Shatner became a household name with his role as Captain James T. Kirk in the “Star Trek” series.
She has also appeared in countless other projects throughout her seven-decade career, including “TJ Hooker,” “The Practice,” “Boston Legal,” “Miss Congeniality” and more.
