Washington (Reuters) -Bar on Wednesday, Donald Trump’s administration froze 26 billion dollars for democratic -prone states and followed the government’s threat of using its closure to target democratic priorities.

Among the targeted programs were $ 18 billion for transit projects in New York, and the Congress hosted the two best democrats and 8 billion dollars for green energy projects in 16 democratic business states, including California and Illinois. Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance warned that if the closure lasts more than a few days, the administration could liquidate federal workers.

The movements clearly stated that Trump will punish Trump’s political opponents and expand his control over the 7 trillion -dollar federal budget established by the US Constitution.

Edition tactics have suspended the 15th government’s closure, scientific research, financial surveillance, environmental cleaning efforts and other various activities.

While approximately 750,000 federal workers were not working, others, such as troops and border patrol agents, began to work without paying. The Ministry of Veterans said that he would provide graves in national cemeteries, but he would not sew the gravestones or could not reap the grass.

In a White House briefing, Vance said that if the closure lasts for more than a few days, the administration would resort to dismissal and added to 300,000 to be pushed until December. Previous closes did not result in permanent layoffs.

The US Patent and Trademark Office, according to an internal letter seen by Reuters, said it would leave 1% of 14,000 employees.

Schumer claims to be closed ‘blackmail’

The House of Representatives said that financing for the subway and port projects at his home in New York will come out of thousands of jobs.

The best Senate from New York, Democratic Chuck Schumer, said Trump targeted regular Americans for partisan goals.

“He uses the American people as a pawn, threatens as blackmail in the country.” He said.

Republican Senator Thom Tillis said he was worried that the freezing of infrastructure funds for New York may make it difficult to close the Congress.

“They really need to pay attention to this, because they can create a toxic environment here.” He said. “I hope they work with the leader and the leader, not to create more work to get us out of this stance.”

Republican Senate leader John Thune rejected the concerns that ice cream means taking hostage.

“Vote to open the government, and this problem disappears, isn’t it? So, it’s quite simple,” he said at a press conference.

Different days, different votes, the same results

In the meantime, the Senate rejected its function as a democratic vote that will match the government’s efforts and financing with additional health benefits as a republican proposal that would finance the government until November 21st.

Trump’s Republicans have the majority of the 53-47 Senate, but the room needs at least seven of the Schumer democrats to meet the 60 votes threshold for bills.

On the government financing front, there is $ 1.7 trillion for agency operations, which is about a quarter of the annual expenditures. Most of the rest of them go to health and pension programs and interest payments related to the increasing debt of $ 37.5 trillion.

A group of two -party senators gathered to the ground during the vote and tried to find a way forward.

“I want to see that an agreement is an agreement and I want to see that Republicans have committed to work with health services,” Virginia Democratic Senator Tim Kaine, who represents many federal workers near the country’s capital. He said. “But I never said that this should be dotted, and t is passing because it may be complex.”

The Democrats also guarantee that Trump cannot ignore the invoices he has signed, as he has done many times since he returned to the office.

Both sides tried to fix the crime on the other side by calling an advantage before the 2026 midterm elections, which would determine the control of the Congress.

The Democrats said that the Republicans were responsible for disruption for controlling their arms in Washington.

Republicans said that the democrats have surrendered to Partisan editions to oppose Trump, despite their routine routine expenditure invoices in the past. They also repeated a false claim that the democratic proposal would illegally expand the health scope to people in the country. According to the non -Partizan Congress Budget Office, the democratic plan would return to certain immigrant categories in the country, just asylum seekers and people with business visas.

Many state institutions have issued notifications accusing the “Radical Left” on their websites for the closure-HATCH law, a possible violation of a law, aims to insulate state services from Partisan politics.

The closure of the longest US government in the first period of Trump in 2018-2019 for more than 35 days ended after the flight delays caused by air traffic controllers.
