Drunk Husband Arrested for Killing Wife

Hyderabad: Gosai Kondanna, who allegedly strangled his wife after she objected to his drinking habit, was arrested from Nandavaram mandal in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district on Tuesday. The victim was his wife Aruna. Filmnagar police station chief J. Venkat said that the couple has two surviving sons.

Unable to bear the harassment, Aruna on Monday acted as if she was ready to die by suicide, police said. Kondanna, who was drunk, allegedly strangled him. Following the incident, Kondanna fled to her native village in Kurnool. A special team of Filmnagar police arrested him and brought him back to the city.
