“I was a liberal. I had blue hair, guys. For example, I rescue pit bulls. As if there couldn’t be anyone more liberal than me,” he said. “But the whole idea of being a liberal is like you say to me, ‘We’re not racist, everyone is equal,’ but then it turns into diversity but it doesn’t turn into diversity of thought, right? The hypocrisy of that.”

As a comedian who grew up around alcoholics who “say I love you” and now sees the “behavior” of those in Congress, “you study, you look for patterns of hypocrisy. That’s what we’re wired to do.”

Once the patterns became visible, Cummings saw a number of inconsistencies in woke ideology.

“It’s starting to be like, ‘Wait a minute, we don’t believe in gender, but we need a female president.’ You’re like, huh?” explained. “And then ‘My body, my choice,’ unless it’s a baby needing a Hepatitis B vaccine from butt sex and sharing needles. Then we believe in climate change and rising seas, but we live on the coast. Like, if you believed the seas were actually seas, would you buy a house on the beach?” [are rising]?”

The actress previously expressed her frustration with the left on a January 2025 episode of the “Good For You” podcast. In the interview, he stated that he had always believed that he was “a pretty liberal person” but that “the left is not as liberal as it used to be” and has become “the party of censorship”.
