Who is Arun Srinivas? Meta Platforms promotes marketing veteran to India Head role effective 1 July

META PLATFORM, a US -based social media platform Facebook’s parent company, announced on Monday, June 16, 2025 that the major technology company has appointed Marketing Senior Arun Srinivas as the chairman of the company’s Indian operations.

“Srinivas will focus on bringing together the work, innovations and income priorities of the organization in order to serve partners and customers while continuing to support the long -term growth of Meta’s business and its commitment to India,” the company said.

Arun Srinivas will replace Sandhya Devanathan as the President of the Indian commodity to be valid on July 1, 2025. This company comes with Devanathan’s announcement that both India and South Asia will take a ‘expanded role’.

According to the official statement, Srinivas will report to Devanathan after taking over his new role in the company.

Who is Arun Srinivas?

Arun Srinivas is currently an industrial veteran who works as a director and advertising president in India. According to the LinkedIn profile of the official, Srinivas worked in the company for more than four years after starting in September 2020.

“Meta played a very important role in his work on Monday, focusing on strategic income priorities such as AI, reel and messaging, in his work with Meta’s largest advertisers and agency partners,” he said.

Before Meta’s Indian advertising business began, Srinivas was the director and president of Meta’s global business group from September 2020 to September 2022.

Before joining the major technology company, Arun Srinivas had an experience of working in the sector for many major companies. Soon, Meta India Head started his career in 1996 as a product manager at the shoe company Reebok.

After working there for more than five years, Srinivas joined Unilever as a Branch Sales Manager and has been in the company for more than 15 years until he became Vice President of South Asia Foods.

In 2017, Arun Srinivas left Unilever and joined a Bengaluru -based company called Westbridge Capital Partners as a business consultant for a two and a half years of task.

In 2019, he joined Ola as the Chief Officer Officer (COO) and Global CMO and stayed in the company and then joined Meta in 2020.

According to Arun Srinivas’s LinkedIn platform, he completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Madras in 1993 and finished a PGDM in the field of marketing from the Prestige Institute of Indian Management (IIM) in 1996.

In 2007, he worked an executive training course in the field of strategic customer management from the US -based Northwestern University – Kellogg Management School.
