Peter Phillips has announced the official date of his wedding to fiancée Harriet Sperling. The 48-year-old actor announced his engagement to his girlfriend last year, but their wedding date was not publicly known until today.
The statement shared on Wednesday read: “Mr Peter Phillips, son of the Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and Miss Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Miss Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today announced their wedding date. The summer wedding will take place in a private ceremony at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester on Saturday 6 June 2026…”

Who is Harriet?
Harriet Eleanor Sander was born in 1980 to Mary Hoskins and Rupert Sanders. He is the second youngest of four siblings: two sisters and a brother.
According to an online biography, Harriet worked as a Pediatric Nurse Specialist in the NHS and is “passionate about early brain development in babies and seeing children develop”.
Like Peter, who shares two daughters with his ex-wife Autumn, Harriet is also the mother of a daughter named Georgia.
In an essay for Living Women, Harriet wrote about her experience as a single mother. She wrote: “In the early years of my journey as a single mother to my daughter, resources were limited and the future was uncertain. But in the absence of material security, I discovered the strength and life that comes from true selfless love. A love that can only be devoted to your child.”
Who is Peter?
Peter is Princess Anne’s eldest child with her first husband, Mark Phillips. The former couple also has a daughter named Zara Tindall.
The royal married Autumn Phillips in 2008, and the former couple welcomed their first daughter, Savannah, who is now 15, in December 2010.
They welcomed Isla, now 14, in March 2012. Canada’s Peter and Autumn have reportedly been successfully co-parenting their daughter since their separation in 2019. The couple officially divorced in 2021.
Peter, whose mother is Anne, is the eldest nephew of King Charles and the cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry.

How did Harriet meet Peter?
It is believed that the couple met at a sporting event attended by their children.
Harriet made her debut with Peter Phillips at the Badminton Horse Trials in May 2024.
She soon became a regular at the royal circuit and appears to have a close relationship with Peter’s sister Zara Tindall.
Peter will be the first royal of his generation to divorce and remarry.

When will the wedding be held?
Peter and Harriet’s wedding will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
The wedding will be a private event and will take place at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester.
It was stated that the royal family will also attend and that King Charles and Queen Camilla were informed about the wedding date.
According to today’s announcement, happy news was also given to the Prince and Princess.
