BBC/PASpoiler alert: This article reveals details of the first four episodes of The Celebrity Traitors
“I feel so bad. I didn’t know what else to do! I went and killed one of my best friends.”
It was a comedian Alan Carr Immortal line delivered to the camera after “killing” the singer Paloma Faith In Famous Traitors.
The first murder of the series was all the more brutal because the duo are not just on-screen rivals, they are actually friends outside of the series.
And they’re not the only ones who knew each other before entering the Traitors’ Castle.
This series is full of people connected in different ways, which adds a whole new layer of drama.
Even if the stars didn’t know each other, they probably did related to And that makes lying that much harder.
So no it won’t happen Charlotte Church He acts like he’s not Welsh. And if Tom Daley Actually Sir Stephen Fry Boy, we already had a pretty good idea.
We are eliminating the six degrees of separation. Here are some of the links we found: We would love to know about any connections we missed. Get in touch with your thoughts in the comments below.
Jonathan probably knows most people
BBC/PA…thanks to his long-running Saturday night talk show.
interviewed Paloma Faith, Sir Stephen Fry, Tom Daley And Alan Carr On the Jonathan Ross Show for years.
Cat Burns He performed at last year’s show Charlotte Church, Clare Balding And Lucy Beaumont We were all guests and how could we forget the time Joe Marler Covered Adele’s song Somebody Like You at the show.
TV journalist Siobhan Synnot said having met many of the contestants before could have helped Ross “hide himself as a traitor”. It can make them feel falsely comfortable around him, and this can also make it easier for him to form alliances.
But knowing most of the stars can also make it difficult to put on the traitor’s coat on a personal level.
Earlier this week, Ross wrote to X that he “dislikes hypocrisy” as the play progresses. “It’s a tougher psychological challenge than I expected,” he said.
Followed closely by Alan
BBC/PAAlan Carr he also interviewed many of his fellow contestants in the real world.
Guests on his previous show Chatty Man included: Sir Stephen Fry And Clare Balding – those in the same section – and Paloma Faith (more HE relationship below).
Sir Stephen, like the actor, also appeared on Carr’s podcast Life’s a Beach. Mark Bonnar and singer Cat Burns.
Kate GarrawayMeanwhile, he was interviewed by Alan Carr on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
Maybe behind his sweating, fuss and giggles is knowing so many people. Or maybe that’s just Alan Carr being Alan Carr.
Celia, Paloma and Sir Stephen starred in the same movie

At one point the school tie was offered as a clue as to who belonged to the coffin. The players realized it was related to the 2007 film St Trinian’s.
The group started pointing at Faith, but she stated: Celia Imrie And Stephen Fry He also starred in the hit comedy film.
In the film, Faith plays a goth schoolgirl, Imrie plays a school headmistress, and Sir Stephen plays himself as the school’s quiz teacher.
This isn’t the only time Sir Stephen and Imrie’s paths have crossed. The pair also starred together in ITV drama Kingdom.
Clare and Tom go way back
Getty ImagesClare BaldingA fixture of British sport and Olympic diving champion Tom Daley They clearly know each other well. Balding has interviewed Daley in the past. on his show – and she spoke in praise of him after he came out on YouTube in 2013.
Their connection was clear in the third episode when Balding appeared to be gutted to see Daley killed by the Traitors.
“I’ve known him since he was about 12 years old,” he said.
Former England rugby player Joe Marler He’s also a sports insider, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s teamed up with Baldwin and Daley at events over the years.
Lucy, Alan, Joe and Nick were in the world of comedy
Sir Stephen Fry, Lucy Beaumont, Alan Carr, Joe WilkinsonAnd Nick Muhammad They’re all comedians and have probably met each other over the years.
In an interview with the Guardian last year, Beaumont described recently working with Sir Stephen and admitted: made a mistake When he met him, he asked him what it was like to be in prison for being gay.
“And thank God someone came and didn’t hear me say that. I was confusing him with Oscar Wilde when I was playing him. I could just imagine him in his cell,” he told the newspaper.
Beaumont is also a familiar face from Meet the Richardsons, and Carr appeared alongside him in an episode of the sitcom.
Lucy and Tom were on Bake Off together
BBC/PASome of the Celebrity Traitors cast members have competed against each other before.
Tom Daley And Lucy Beaumont In 2023, she competed on The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
channel 4The pair tackled a lavish day off in the form of a delicious quiche, a technical teatime biscuit and cake; but in the end, neither of them received the title of star baker.
Nick and Celia were in Bridget Jones’s Baby
David M. Benett/Dave Benett/WireImageBeloved veteran British actress Celie Imrie She played Una Alconbury, Bridget’s mother’s friend, in the Bridget Jones film series.
The star of Ted Lasso accompanied him in one of the films called Bridget Jones’s Baby. Nick Muhammad.
Perhaps because of this previous connection, Muhammad jumped to Imrie’s aid in the cemetery in episode one, helping her find a shield and thus protecting her from being killed on the first night.
“My goal was to get Celia a shield because I love her,” he explained.
But this aroused suspicion, with Imrie later saying: “Nick selflessly came to help me at my grave before he even looked for his shield. I also think he’s absolutely adorable or up to something.”
By the time the final episode came around, they both seemed to be questioning each other’s motives.
Imrie said she was “spying on” Mohammed while telling the group that he would be a great traitor.
Cat and Paloma share the same record label
This was something else Paloma Faith revelation, after he is killed in the second episode.
Speaking on the Uncloaked podcastSo the singer said she felt “betrayed” by her friend Cat Burns (who is a traitor).
“He’s on the same record label as me and he must have some loyalty,” he joked.
Unfortunately for him, the game doesn’t quite work that way.
The singer later explained that although they shared the same record label, they had not spent much time together beforehand, and that she enjoyed bonding with Burns during his short time on the show.
Alan and Paloma are close friends (or…)
BBC/PAPaloma Faith he might be angry Cat BurnsBut it seems his real meat is Alan CarrBecause he is her friend in real life.
“I don’t think he should have done that to me, and I’m surprised he did,” Faith told the Uncloaked podcast of her decision to kill him.
The two are so close that he even met their children, but it looks like they’re not too happy with him anymore.
I’m speaking on the One ShowFaith said her four-year-old woke her up and said: “Mummy, I don’t like Alan anymore. He can’t come to our house.”
But in a video shared online, Carr poked fun at the fight.
The photo shows him looking at a drinks menu and saying, “I could kill a Paloma.”
He captioned the post: “Anyone thirsty? I love you @palomafaith #forgiveme.”
Faith also stated that before the show, she was friends with Jonathan Ross, who was also a traitor.
“I’m happy to lose him as a friend,” he told Uncloaked after learning his identity.
“I hope [Carr and Ross] “Don’t ever call me again, I’m serious,” he added, and we think it’s a joke…
Many have done 8 out of 10 Cats…including Claudia
Funnily enough, some celebrities have also crossed paths with host Claudia Winkleman in the outside world.
He said he knew “some of them” before the series started, adding: “They’re all equally lovely.”
Winkleman previously appeared in 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown alongside Joe Wilkinson and Nick Mohammed.
She also co-hosts Strictly, so would have crossed paths with Tameka Empson when she was a contestant.
“Honestly, the layers of this are fascinating,” said entertainment reporter Natalie Jamieson.
“Whether celebrities knew or worked with each other before appearing on screen is one thing, but they will have already made an assumption about the other’s personalities based on their known public personas, as we all do.”
Niko had the fewest connections
BBC/PA CableAfter all this, think about those who entered the castle without any friends.
One of the younger stars, 27-year-old YouTuber Niko Omilana, had fewer connections to other celebrities.
And that seems to be part of his downfall.
After he was exiled on Wednesday, a theory spread on social media that the real reason for the vote was that other celebrities did not know him well.
“Niko was voted down because he’s a foreigner and not in their celebrity world. He has nothing to do with the game,” wrote one X user.
In a later TikTok video, Omilana appeared to respond to the speculation by showing herself being ostracized and spat on by her group of friends. He captioned it: “POV: You try to make friends in Traitors.”
Earlier this week, another young celebrity, 29-year-old actress Ruth Codd, was murdered by traitors.
He had previously admitted that he “didn’t know anyone” in the castle.
Apparently, walking in the same circles doesn’t just mean better fireside chats at Traitors’ Castle.
For some, this could be the difference between life and death.
