Northern Ireland: Veteran Josh Magennis among returnees to Michael O’Neill squad

Magennis’s 11 -month return since the last limit means that it is both the most experienced member of O’Neill’s panel and the best international scorer in the group.
Former Hull City and Wigan Athletic Forward were placed on the waiting list for friendships against Sweden and Switzerland, and then it was not included in the games against Iceland and Denmark in June after the hip surgery.
O’Neill said that after the negligence of last month’s squad, no one would never close the door at his international career, and that this season was enough to recall four goals in Nine League One match.
“I didn’t think Josh was really suitable enough, and I thought other strikers were in front of fitness.” He said.
“But he obviously played regular minutes because he was behind the operation.
“He scored four goals, this is nice and Josh gives us experience and physicality that we don’t have plenty of experience and physicality at that end of the field.”
35 -year -old O’Neill, while playing two games in four days will pay attention to the use of Magennis, he added.
“I think he knows how Josh can play forward, no matter what he is currently being used, if you start in a game or if he has an effect on the counter.”
“So this is all that should be taken into consideration in the elections we have made, but look, it is nice to have some experience and it is always nice to have Josh in the squad.”
