WHSmith takeover logo brutally mocked for 1 reason | UK | News

Since the iconic logo is removed from the stores throughout the country, the end of a period for Wh Smith. Stationery and book retailer, after more than 200 years, will be completely disappeared from the British High Street, as it has been changed to a brand.
With Hobbycraft’s owner, Capital took over the chain in March. Now they decided to re -brand the 464 High Street store to TG Jones. Since well -known name is erased from the communities in the UK, the signs begin to emerge. The new design is stuck to the existing layout and color scheme with the switch described in the application documents, protecting the white writing and blue background.
However, the transformation was brutally mocked on social media because it was a business with a boat. In a funny Snap shared on the X, a small TJ Jones sign seems to have been stuck on the Great Who Smith writing.
The small poster seems to be connected by four corners to cover the old logo. The sign is so small that you can easily see that it spreads under the old Wh Smith logo.
Rich Bernard, who took the brand in a cynical way by taking it to X, wrote, “High quality again brand here”.
“As I heard today, I was surprised to see it on our street today, but when not.”
Above the Botched logo, the first two letters in the capitals sit another TG Jones sign.
In response, an X user said: “Some marketing genius?
“Why did you leave this in favor of a brand that no one has heard?”
“Oh, it’s not good for his future,” he said for a second.
A third user simply wrote: “It is completely meaningless.”
Only railway stations and shops in the airports will continue to be called WHSMIT. The rest adopts the new TG Jones brand.
Subscriber customers are now receiving E -mail from Tgjones instead of WHTH.
