Why ACT school speed signs are shorter than others | The Canberra Times

These are shorter than the national regulation minimum of two meters because ladders are required to reach higher signs. Or, as the ACT government puts it, “the school operator will need special equipment to open and close the sign (for example, a special ladder system that can be positioned safely on the lawn)”.
