Why are 2 giant American flags flying over Interstate 5 in Redding?

5 drivers between Redding on Thursday may have thought that they have doubled.
A second giant American Flag – in the same size as the permanent giant flag installation near Redding’s Cypress Avenue output can be seen on the opposite side of the highway.
The new flag is flying from the wide arm of a rejection truck parked in La Quinta Inn & Suites parking at Hilltop Drive. A temporary installation commemorating the 24th anniversary of 9/11, honoring the lives of those who disappeared in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

Robin Megill, the La Quinta reception desk officer, allowed city workers to park the truck this week and want to park the flag.
