These naval operations included carrier-based fighters, Airborne Early Warning (AEW) helicopters, and shore-based maritime reconnaissance aircraft conducting Beyond Visual Range (BVR) air combat and integrated air defense exercises.
These operations reaffirmed the reach, flexibility and readiness of the air assets on board to operate anytime, anywhere.
Similarly, surface gunnery exercises, ongoing resupply runs and coordinated Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) operations were conducted.
Maritime patrol aircraft and ASW helicopters worked in close coordination with surface and underwater platforms, demonstrating tactical synergy and professional excellence.
βThe exercise maintained a high operational tempo, highlighting the capabilities and preparedness of both navies in multi-domain combat scenarios,β a Navy official said.
The Naval Phase concluded with a ceremonial steamship where participating units performed traditional naval courtesy.
The ships proceeded to their respective ports to launch the Port Phase, which will include joint professional exchanges, collaborative activities and cultural events.
Following the completion of Exercise Konkan-2025 with the Indian Navy, UK CSG 25 is scheduled to participate in a one-day exercise off the west coast of India with the Indian Air Force on 14 October before resuming its planned deployment.
Exercise Konkan-2025 will serve as a platform to consolidate strategic ties, increase interoperability and contribute to regional maritime stability.
