Wife, Two Others Arrested in Murder Case

Vijayawada:Police arrested three persons in a murder case, including the wife of the deceased and her lover, who were also quacks who offered sleeping pills to the woman to kill her husband.

Guntur SP Vakul Zindel on Monday told the media that Siva Nagaraju was killed by his wife Lakshmi Madhavi and her mistress Gopi to continue their illicit affair.

Sivanagaraju was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Chiluvuru village of Duggirala mandal of Guntur district on January 18.

According to police investigation, the woman and her lover killed her husband by suffocating him with a pillow after offering him biryani laced with sleeping pills.

“The deceased was hit on the chest with a rolling pin used for paternity, which resulted in the fracture of three ribs in the chest,” police added.
