Wild vision of cars being swept out to sea in Victoria

In the popular holiday destination of Victoria, thunderstorms and torrential rain left communities drenched and experienced severe flooding.
Wild footage shows a car being swept out to sea as the Wye River, about two and a half hours southwest of Melbourne, floods.
Social media photos also show several cars submerged and stuck on a bridge on the River Wye.

VicEmergency issued an emergency alert for residents living in and around the River Wye, River Kennett, River Cumberland, Lorne and surrounding areas at around 2.30pm on Thursday.
“Severe storms and flash floods cause very dangerous conditions,” the emergency warning said.

The warning told people to “be careful” as heavy rains could increase the potential for landslides and debris on roads.
