William and Kate slope off for a ski break in the French Alps

I can say that the Prince and Princess of Wales are quietly holidaying in Courchevel, the exclusive ski resort in the French Alps.
The royal couple were spotted at a luxury mountainside restaurant last month; here even ham and cheese toast, albeit ‘truffled’, cost 85 euros (£74).
‘They had a great time and were very polite,’ one of the staff members told me.
Seeing the future King and his wife looking spotless in their ski clothes, other customers took photos from a distance as the duo set off after their expensive meal.
‘I couldn’t believe I was having lunch in the same restaurant as Kate and William,’ one excited diner told me. ‘They looked so cute in their beanie hats.’
Dubbed the ‘Saint Tropez of the slopes’, Courchevel is known for its Michelin-starred restaurants, designer shops and celebrity visitors such as George Clooney and the Beckhams.
It is unclear whether the Welsh children Prince George, 12, Prince Louis, 7, and Princess Charlotte, 10, were with their parents on the slopes last month.
William, Kate and their eldest children first visited the French Alps in 2016 and have since jetted off to luxury resorts for a series of special holidays.
Early last year the family went skiing with members of the Princess’ family and were spotted at a mountaintop restaurant. ‘This was a Middleton kneeling,’ a source said at the time.

Mary doesn’t dig this
Lady Mary Charteris is furious that her holiday in the luxury Kenyan resort of Lamu went pear-shaped again.
At first, she complained about the makeup that piled up in front of her house while she was away; Now he is annoyed that construction work is ruining his holiday.
‘There is a field next to the hotel and a digger that lifts heavy rocks,’ says Mary. ‘I should have been warned. ‘This is not what I paid good money for.’

Red carpet shoot for Puparazzi
Irish actress Alison Oliver replaced her actor boyfriend Josh O’Connor with an adorable dog while walking the red carpet last week.
Oliver, who stars as Isabella Linton in Emerald Fennell’s new adaptation of Wuthering Heights, held the paw of her co-star, left, orange Pomeranian Bubble, at the film’s premiere.
The dog who played Isabella’s dog Fanny was the star of the screening, with even Margot Robbie fussing over her.
I hope O’Connor, who plays Prince Charles in The Crown, isn’t too jealous. He and Alison were first seen together in Bologna, Italy, in November 2024.
At the premiere, Ms. Oliver, 28, revealed that her wig caught fire while filming a candlelit scene with Jacob Elordi. Talk about hot stuff!

#1 with mullet
Model Cara Delevingne went through numerous hairstyles in 2018, including a shaved head.
Now it’s on to the next step; gray mullet. The socialite showed off her shaggy brown locks in a ‘business front, party behind’ style on Instagram and was met with support from her famous friends.
“I love this,” actress Florence Pugh said, as singer Paloma Faith interjected: “I love it.”

Go to Batty for Scarlett
Rumors that Scarlett Johansson would appear in The Batman Part II have been circulating for months.
And I was finally able to confirm they were true after my spies spotted the 41-year-old star filming at Warner Bros studios near Watford.
Meanwhile, Zoe Kravitz, who played Catwoman opposite Robert Pattinson’s protagonist in the 2022 hit film, apparently did not make it into the sequel’s ensemble cast.

As The Night Manager’s cold-blooded MI6 agent Jonathan Pine, you’d think actor Tom Hiddleston would have everything under control.
But in real life, the walls around his ears are literally collapsing. The flint walls surrounding a £6 million 17th-century Hampshire manor house have been publicly declared a ‘safety risk’.
It came to light when a hard-working old Etonian flagged off the danger by appealing to the South Downs National Park Authority for repairs to the 19th-century wall.
