William’s telling reaction after Andrew and Beatrice ‘scolded’ late Queen | Royal | News

The then-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also photographed at the annual Easter Sunday ceremony, along with Andrew and Beatrice, Zara and Mike Tindall, and Prince Harry. Although royal friends curtsied to the late Queen, Andrew chose to refer to his mother as “difficult”, while Beatrice went against the traditional royal greeting.
According to lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling, as the Queen walked past Andrew towards the chapel, she told him: “Even though it’s your birthday today, you can be quite difficult, you know.”
Ms Hickling added that Beatrice “giggled” at Andrew’s comment, while Prince William was “briefly seen sucking his teeth as he watched the conversation”.
After Princess Anne was seen making a remark to her brother, Andrew apparently replied: “It shouldn’t be that hard, Anne.”
Agreeing with her father, Beatrice muttered quietly: “It’s very difficult.”
William has reportedly become estranged from Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie due to their parents’ connection to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Although their closeness was reported when they were children, reports indicate that he was “not close” to them.
He said: “Ultimately the rule should be simple: If you work for the Crown you keep your title. If you don’t, you don’t. Charles and William need to make that call.”
