AI tool used to recover £500m lost to fraud, government says

A new artificial intelligence vehicle designed to break the fraud, BBC helped the British government to recover about £ 500 million last year.

More than one-third of the money was withdrawn during the COVİD-19 PANDEM in relation to fraudulent activities, other cash illegal Council tax demands and illegal overcoming social housing.

The government will announce that a new AI vehicle, which then helps to determine the fraud later, will now be licensed to other countries, including the US and Australia.

Civil Freedom Campaigns have previously criticized the workers’ government for the use of AI when trying to resist fraud.

The cabinet office said that the £ 480 million pounds gathered within 12 months from April 2024 was the largest amount that has been recovered by an anti -government teams within a year.

Ministers say that savings will now be used to hire nurses, teachers and police officers.

186 million pounds of the total total of recovered total was related to the Covid fraud.

Ministers promised to reclaim some of the money lost during their pandemi for a long time, but some of the amount of workmanship that was compensated here, which was compensated, said that the workmanship was missing before.

Before last year’s general elections, Chancellor Rachel Reeves claimed that more than £ 7 billion of public money disappeared during the fraud during his pandemi.

These savings include potentially preventing the dissolution of hundreds of thousands of companies with fraudulent jumping loans.

Bounce Back loans were up to £ 50,000, established by the government during the government to support businesses.

However, the schema was criticized for not inviting companies that are dissolved before paying the money without reimbursement of companies that are often resolved without reimbursement.

The cabinet office said that a company contained a woman who invented a company and then sent her credit money to Poland.

Cabinet Office Minister Josh Simons will announce the savings at the fight against a lawyer organized jointly by England, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on Wednesday.

Authorized, “Latest AI and Data Vehicles”, the government can protect public funds and “fraudsters and fraudsters can not sort the pockets,” he said.

The new AI tool, called the risk of fraud risk assessment, has been developed by researchers at the Cabinet Office and will now be presented to other government offices.

The cabinet office said that the vehicle “scanned new policies and procedures for weaknesses before being exploited” and claimed that the policies could make “fraud resistant” before implementation.

It was developed due to concern about the fraud level seen during Pandemi in Whitehall.

Simons is expected to have licensed the vehicle for international use, and the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are expected to adopt it in some way.

However, this movement may not be satisfied with the government’s use of artificial intelligence among the campaign groups.

Last year, a AI tool used to break the prosperity fraud, people’s age, disability, marital status and nationality was found to show prejudice.

The documents published to Guardian within the scope of Freedom Freedom Laws accepted the vehicle used by job and pension.

A report of the International Amnesty International earlier this year criticized the government’s “uncontrolled use of technology and AI systems”.
