Wimbledon 2025 results: Ollie Tarvet’s dream run comes to an end against Carlos Alcaraz
University student Ollie Tarvet could not create one of the biggest shocks in Wimbledon history when Briton ended against the champion Carlos Alcaraz, defending the dream run twice.
The 21-year-old qualifying a fun struggle showing the signs of his great potential, but ultimately lost 6-14 6-4 in the central court.
Tarvet, which ranks 733th in the world, took 11 breaks against the Grand Slam champion five times.
However, the British, who were educated in the United States, could only take two of these opportunities and never seem to be serious sadness.
Tarvet’s four victory runs – three of them qualify and the other in the first round – means that he should receive a home prize money of £ 99,000.
However, in accordance with the American college rules, it is allowed to request only $ 10,000 (£ 7.290) and expenses during events each year.
Although he shows that he can test the best in professional ranks, Tarvet is still planning to return to San Diego University next year to conclude his four -year communication and media degree.
