Wimbledon Brings Out David Beckham, Maria Sharapova and Other Stars on Day 1

London: David Beckham and Maria Sharapova were among the sports and screen stars in Wimbledon on Monday to start the tournament.

At the age of 17, the 2004 champion Sharapova at All England Club published a selfie with Beckham on Instagram under the title “Wimbledon Games Start (Wimbledon) with the emojis of Tennis Balls.

Sharapova will enter the International Tennis Honor List later this year.

Former British football captain Beckham was on the list of guests who were expected to participate in the central court matches on the 1st day. Others included Oscar -winning actor Eddie Redmayne and former British football coach Gareth Southgate.

Beckham is the only player who scored a goal for England in three World Cups. He is a joint owner of the American Club Inter Miami, who was ruled by Lionel Messi and was defeated by 4-0 defeat from the Club World Cup in the United States on Sunday to Paris Saint-Germain.
