Wimbledon chiefs fear SW19’s iconic hawk Rufus could be gay after he failed to breed a successor – leaving them with a pigeon problem

- Rufus’ job is to keep pigeons away from the championships during competition
- He also works at Lord’s Crick Ground, The Old Bailey and Westminster Abbey
- However, the hawk reportedly refused to mate on more than one occasion
Wimbledon was shot by a left field crisis because he refused to reproduce the iconic hawks called Rufus.
The bird patrolled the reasons of All England Club for 17 years, and players hold pigeons without pigeons as they go to the grass for two weeks a year.
As they get older, successor planning began to be realized, the SW19 bosses were so impressed by Rufus’ work that they want their own offspring to change it when they no longer do their job.
This led to a hunt for a wife for a wife who could not convince her funny Donna and Rufus to match another bird named Pamela.
