Beleaguered wind farm operator Orsted announced on Thursday that it plans to cut up to 2,000 jobs towards the end of 2027 in a bid to become more competitive and refocus its efforts on Europe.
This year, the company faced pressure from President Donald Trump’s administration to restrict wind energy production in the United States.
Shares of Orsted were up 1% in early European trading on Thursday.
