A woman alleged that Andrew Moutbatten-Windsor rubbed his hand against her breast when she was 17 during a visit to Jeffrey Epstein’s New York mansion in 2010. Caroline Kaufman, now 32, said the encounter took place during a meeting at Epstein’s home on Manhattan’s Upper East Side while the royal was visiting the United States in December of that year.

She claimed that dozens of young women were gathered in a large room and instructed to wear identical black dresses before Andrew arrived. Kaufman said the atmosphere inside the resort felt like a “meat market,” with the women positioned so guests could see them.

“You could tell Andrew felt like a king,” he said. “I just wanted to get out of there. It was scary.”

Speaking after the release of documents related to the Epstein investigation, Kaufman said he believed Andrew knew more about what was going on at the house than he was letting on publicly: The sun reported.

“He should be investigated for his connection to Epstein because he had a clear understanding of the situation at that house,” he said.

Kaufman said she was first invited to the property by a woman she met at an event, who told her her employer might want to use her for a modeling photo shoot.

“I thought I was going to Epstein’s mansion for a photo shoot. I thought it would be a great opportunity for me,” he said. “But when I walked in it was clearly a big party and everyone was dressed in black.”

He described the environment as “seedy” and said most of the women there were models.

“There seemed to be about 100 girls,” she said. “Everyone was given the same type of dress. We had no choice to wear it.”

According to Kaufman, Andrew entered the room wearing a black tuxedo and began greeting some of the women present.

She claimed that when he approached her, his hand “rubbed” her breast and asked her age.

“He didn’t say he was Prince Andrew or ask my name,” she said. “Instead he asked my age and seemed shy when I told him I was 17.”

Kaufman said she initially did not recognize the royal family, but later heard other women discussing her identity.

“I felt like all these girls were there for him to choose from,” she said. “It was almost like a brothel where the girls lined up and the guy chose who he wanted.”

She said she stayed at the meeting for about 40 minutes before being taken upstairs where she allegedly raped Epstein.

The Duke of York has repeatedly and vehemently denied any wrongdoing regarding his friendship with Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Andrew has previously said he traveled to New York in 2010 to personally end his friendship with Epstein after the latter was sentenced to prison for soliciting a minor into prostitution. In a 2019 interview on the BBC’s Newsnight programme, he said the aim of the trip was to “break off” contact.
