Woman constable injured in IED explosion in Sukma

A woman police officer was injured when a pressurized Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Maoists exploded in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Thursday, November 27, 2025, a police officer said.
According to the police, the incident took place around 1 pm on a forest hill when a team of security personnel went on an area dominance operation from the newly established Gogunda security camp under Keralapal police station limits. Constable Muchaki Durga of the District Force accidentally came into contact with the pressurized IED, triggering the explosion and causing injuries to his left foot, a senior police officer said.
After preliminary treatment, he was airlifted to Raipur for further medical care, the official said, adding that his condition was stated to be out of danger.
