Karnataka II PU exam: Students get wrong question paper in Hassan’s Belur

As many as six students who appeared for the computer science II examination of Government Pre-University College for Girls at Belur in Hassan district on Monday, March 16, 2026, are worried about the results as they were given the wrong question paper.
Exam center officials gave them the question paper prepared for repeaters instead of the question paper for new candidates. Students who missed realizing this also wrote the exam and felt that the questions were difficult.
However, when they left the hall and discussed the matter with other classmates, they realized that they were given the wrong question papers. They went inside and talked to the officers. Realizing the mistake, officials re-issued them the question papers with instructions to answer within half an hour. Students think that the time allocated to them is insufficient.
Students told the media: “We could not understand that it was a wrong question paper as some of the questions were related to the curriculum we were studying. However, there were some questions that were not related to the subjects we were taught. However, after meeting the officials, they gave us a new question paper and asked us to attend the question within 30 minutes.” Officials told them to take improvement in II PU exam-2, which is scheduled to start from April 25.
When Hindu Contacting KP Gangadhar, Deputy Director of Pre-University Education in Hassan, the officer said notices seeking clarification have been sent to the officials in charge of the examination centre. “There were both new arrivals and repeaters in the room. Officers should have checked the papers before distributing them,” he said.
