Woman killed by falling tree branch ‘while walking with child’ in country park

After being shot by a branch falling in a park, a young woman died.

The woman in her 30s hit the branch near the Bungal Lane entrance of the Blackburn Witton Country Park Lane right after 20:30 on Monday.

According to the Lancashire police, the medical officials ran to the park shortly after they were shot, but soon died.

The Witton Country Park is a 480 -acre mixed forest, park area and agricultural land and is on the west of Blackburn.
