“I’m trying to understand myself and get help because this version of me is not who I want to be.

“I know I’ve ruined a lot of trust and saying ‘I’m sorry’ won’t solve everything but that’s all I can say right now.”

Kira, from Airdrie, began apologizing to everyone she cheated on.

She added: “I’m so sorry. You were with me through it all. You cried happy tears, you picked me up, you carried me places, you believed everything I said.

“You didn’t deserve to be lied to like that. None of you did. Everyone who exposed their sexuality, everyone who gave me a gift or support — I messed up and hurt a lot of people.”

“And I apologize to everyone I made look bad in the process, especially my father and his family.

“I made you out to be terrible people, but in reality, I was the one at fault. Totally.”

Kira, who announced that she would “explain her actions” and “apologize” in the live broadcast at 16:00 on Instagram, claimed that she gave birth to her “daughter” weighing 5 kilos 4 ounces on October 10, earlier this month.

Screenshots of messages Kira reportedly sent shortly afterwards show Bonnie-Leigh telling the man she claimed was her father that their baby was dead.

Kira Cousins initially declined to comment when reached by the Record on Monday but later shared an online post confirming her actions.
