Andrew Hastie — Howard’s true heir — is the future of the LNP

Liberal backbencher Andrew Hastie, the symbol of the coalition’s far right, wasted no time in reinforcing his anti-immigrant policies in the wake of the anti-Semitic Bondi terror attack that left 15 dead.

“We don’t know why this happened, but we will find out soon,” he said in a video posted to his tens of thousands of followers on Instagram and Facebook. “And I’ll have a lot to say when we know more, so don’t worry about it. I’m pretty sure we can guess what caused it.”

Standing on a beach in Perth, he said: “I’m angry and I know you are too.”
