Victorian Labor targets affluent Melbourne suburbs for rezoning to allow 16-storey apartment towers | Victoria

According to the new draft maps published by the Victorian Government, 16-storey apartment towers, including the well-heeled Bayside in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, will be built.

Prime Minister Jacinta Allan and Planning Minister Sonya Kilkenny published maps showing the proposed heights and borders for 25 of the 50 activity centers of the government in Melbourne, which was first declared in October 2024 on Wednesday.
