‘King of Egypt’ Salah scored 29 goals and broke several records in the Premier League, helping Liverpool to a record-breaking 20th top-flight title in the 2024-25 season.
In the same campaign, he became the first player to win the Golden Boot, the Playmaker award with the most assists and the Premier League player of the season award. He was also named the PFA men’s player of the year for a record third time and was awarded the Football Writers’ player of the year award for the third time.
The 33-year-old football player became the foreign player who scored the most goals in the history of the Premier League, leaving behind Sergio Agüero’s 184 points.
Salah has scored five goals in 18 appearances for Liverpool so far this season and said on Saturday that he felt like he had been “thrown under the bus” by the club and that his relationship with manager Arne Slot had soured.
