Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, a close friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin whose territory hosts the despot’s nuclear missiles, has issued a chilling warning that the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict could escalate into a ‘worldwide conflict’.

“This conflict needs to be frozen. The most dangerous thing is that this conflict continues. If this escalation continues, the consequences could be very harsh and very dangerous for Europe and the whole world. It will turn into a global conflict.” Therefore, we must immediately extinguish this conflict while we have the opportunity.” This alarming statement comes as Ukraine and Russia launch cross-border drone strikes even as both countries weigh America’s latest peace initiatives.

During the attack, which took place after midnight, Ukrainian forces set fire to many of Russia’s important oil facilities, while Moscow continued to bomb Ukrainian civilians.

These attacks form part of Kiev’s tactical approach to destroy Russia’s ability to finance its war against Ukraine by striking the country’s oil reserves that fund the military campaign.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is said to be considering American proposals that would provide security assurances to Kiev in exchange for greater compromise in peace negotiations.

Meanwhile, according to The Mirror, at least 18 massive explosions shook the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban; This represents the third incident this year in which the Slavyansk Oil Refinery has been attacked by a drone. In one of Ukraine’s largest oil facility attacks in months, explosions from that strike continued for nearly three years; Refineries in other regions were also hit.

A significant portion of the energy resources transported to the front lines in support of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s conflict in Ukraine comes from Slavyansk.

Drone attacks were also recorded overnight in Russia’s Saratov and Engels regions, both of which previously targeted oil facilities.

A district of Yeysk in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai was also hit by attacks that caused huge fireballs earlier today.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense “captured and destroyed” 94 Ukrainian UAVs during the night, including 31 over Krasnodar Krai, 22 over the Rostov region and 8 over the Saratov region.

Russia launched an attack against Kharkiv and Odessa provinces.

The United States is reportedly considering NATO-style security guarantees in Ukraine’s latest ceasefire proposals.

It is understood that Kiev is considering giving up its NATO membership ambitions in exchange for US security guarantees. The country is also considering the US proposal to turn the disputed Donbas region, which Russia envies, into a ‘free economic zone’.

In response to Ukraine’s recent attacks on Moscow’s oil facilities, Russian commanders launched dozens of explosive drones along the border.

Weapons launched from various directions caused great destruction and loss of life in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Russian forces launched two waves of drone attacks in the southern Odesa region, causing serious damage to transportation infrastructure.

Approximately 300,000 households in the region are currently without electricity due to bad weather conditions.

Civilian settlements in Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv were also targeted by Russian drone bombings.

Zaporozhye Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov announced that Russian forces attacked the city and hit a residential building.

One report stated: “Two residential buildings were hit in the regional center.”

“Initial reports indicate there may be people under the rubble,” he added.

He later confirmed that at least 26 people, including a child, were injured in Russia’s attacks on Zaporozhye and the surrounding region.
