One homeowner thought he was buying a home, but the upside of renting solar was red tape and a 24-year headache.

The buyer later learned that the company had told the seller that the lease could only be assigned if the buyer applied with a co-applicant, purchased the lease with 24 years remaining, or had the seller purchase it instead.
“I don’t have the money to buy out the lease, so it’s not an option and I don’t have anyone else to sign for me. Has anyone experienced something similar? I want to know my legal options.” wrote.
