Indian Hindus Need Confidence; Society, Not Leaders, Builds The Nation

-Bhopal: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Friday that the nation was built not by leaders or policies but by the collective efforts of the society.

Interacting with the youth here, the RSS chief said that a nation is built by the collective efforts of citizens, the government and political system only play a supporting role in the growth of this nation.

“Therefore, the society must be empowered enough to ensure the smooth functioning of the government and the political system,” he said.

He added that RSS has been working for the last 100 years to educate citizens with this idea.

Mr. Bhagwat said the Sangh will strive to take the nation to the pinnacle of development on the basis of the organized strength of the entire society and by preserving our dharma.

Speaking on the attacks on Hindus, he said that Hindus in India should be capable enough to protect Hindus in Bangladesh. Hindus must be self-confident and organised.

He said the world only understands power, not truth.

Therefore, India needs to be intellectually, mentally and morally strong.

He said the Sangh’s role is to build a strong nation so that India can become a model for the world to follow.

However, he said that the world is looking to India to show the right path because the whole world knows that India is the only one that can guide the world.

He said that as India moves forward on the path of progress, it must remain committed to its civilization and culture.

Mr. Bhagwat arrived here on Friday on a two-day visit to Madhya Pradesh.
