Zendaya addresses ‘secret wedding’ pictures in new interview

Zendaya said “a lot of people” fell in love with the AI-generated viral photos of her wedding.

Zendaya, who got engaged to Holland in 2024, told Jimmy Kimmel on his talk show that “many people” close to her were fooled by the photos, including those who were upset they weren’t invited to the “wedding.”
During Zendaya’s talk show promoting her new movie Drama“People are taking these AI wedding photos that look very realistic when we are together,” Kimmel said.
Zendaya, 29, responded: “Yes, and a lot of people have been fooled by them.
“I was out in real life and people said: ‘Oh my god, your wedding photos were amazing.’
“And I said, ‘Baby, these are AI. They’re not real.'”
Kimmel asked “Is there anyone in your life who was tricked by them and angry that they weren’t invited?” When asked, the actor replied: “A lot of people.”
In a photo that has gone viral, Zendaya and Holland, also 29, are seen posing for a selfie against an ornate backdrop resembling gardens surrounded by a lake.
The image depicts Zendaya, dressed in a satin wedding dress and lace veil, pouting and holding the cheeks of her tuxedo-wearing fiancée.
It was revealed that the Netherlands was in other images shared by social media users on X. Spiderman In addition to the couple, Robert Downey Jr, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Jake Gyllenhaal also appear at the ceremony.
Zendaya did not respond to Kimmel’s question about whether she had specifically married Holland. Speculations of a secret wedding increased after the actress was spotted with a gold band accompanying her engagement ring at Paris Fashion Week.
When the chat show host asked about the marriage rumors, Zendaya joked: “Really? I haven’t seen any of them.”
But her stylist Law Roach said: Reach Hollywood earlier this month: “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.”

Earlier this year, deepfake pornography was made illegal in the UK after explicit images of singer Taylor Swift were created and shared online; one of which was viewed 47 million times on X before it was removed.
