Adani commits ₹1.5 lakh crore in Gujarat’s Kutch

Mumbai: Adani Group will invest Rs 1.5 lakh crore in Gujarat’s Kutch region in the next five years, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) managing director Karan Adani said on Sunday.

“Once considered remote and challenging, Kutch has today emerged as one of India’s most strategic industrial, logistics and energy hubs,” Adani said. he said. The region is home to India’s largest commercial port, Mundra, supported by a fully integrated multi-modal logistics network. Mundra is also home to the country’s largest copper smelter, coal-to-PVC manufacturing complex and solar power generation complex.

Adani said the group will complete the Khavda renewable energy project in Kutch and commission the entire 37 gigawatt capacity by 2030. “We are developing the world’s largest renewable energy park in Khavda with a capacity of 37 gigawatts,” he said.
He added that the group plans to double the port capacity at Mundra in the next 10 years.

APSEZ also reported cargo and logistics volumes for December. According to the business update, the company handled 41.9 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo during the month, driven by an 18% year-on-year increase in container volumes.


Total cargo handled year-to-date ending December 2025 amounted to 367.3 MMT, an increase of 11% compared to the same period last year.
In the logistics segment, rail volumes in December were 59,037 TEU, unchanged from the previous year, while GPWIS volumes decreased by 7% year-on-year during the month to 1.8 MMT.
