Zoo Asks People To Donate Their Healthy Pets As Food For Its Captive Predators

Copenhagen, Denmark (AP) – A zoo in Denmark wants small pet donations as food for their predators.

“For both animal welfare and professional integrity, the Aalborg Zoo offers assurance that animals are trying to imitate the natural food chain and that pets will be“ gentle euthanasia by educated personnel.

Zoo in North Denmark Announced on a Facebook post “If you have a healthy animal to be given for various reasons, feel free to donate to us.”

The zoo points to guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens as donations as possible.

The zoo said that after euthanasia, animals will be used as feed.

“In this way, nothing is going to waste-we provide the natural behavior, nutrition and prosperity of our predators,” he said.
