12-year-old boy in critical condition after collision in north Brisbane suburb
A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital after his bike crashed into a car in a suburb north of Brisbane on Thursday.
The pair collided on Riordan Street in Apsley at around 5.20pm in what police described as a “serious road traffic accident”.
The 12-year-old boy, who was seriously injured, was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Police said the woman driving the car was not physically injured.
While he was assisting police shortly before 7 p.m., the crash was still under investigation.
Authorities have asked anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident to contact police.
