Diner at Gordon Ramsay’s Heathrow restaurant compares chef’s £15 lasagna to ‘dog food’ and says he should be ’embarrassed’ to serve it

Gordon Ramsey‘s £15 lasagne horrified a diner who compared it to a ‘dog sick’.
Musician Karl Phillips, 40, was unimpressed with the “dripping wet” dish that “looked like it had been microwaved from frozen” when he ordered it at the celebrity chef’s restaurant at Heathrow Airport.
While waiting for his flight from London to France at Terminal 5 on March 16 to give a concert abroad, he decided to eat at the famous star’s Plane Food Market branch.
But after seeing the lasagne he ordered alongside dirty fries and a flat white, Karl said Gordon should be ‘ashamed’ of serving it.
‘I ordered a regular lasagna and when it came out it was soggy and looked like my dog had been sick in the water bowl.
‘It looked like water had been added to the microwave and it was disgusting.
‘It wasn’t very expensive but it was £15 and with the name [Gordon Ramsay] ‘You expect a quality meal.’

Karl, from Northampton, said he paid £15 for the lasagne alone but still ate it, saying he found it ‘bland’.
‘It didn’t have much flavor or spice,’ he added. ‘It was warm.
‘Gordon Ramsay, with his fame and how he destroys anyone’s food that isn’t of the best quality, you’d think he’d be embarrassed that this was served in one of his restaurants.
‘I didn’t complain but I noticed there was a 10 per cent optional service charge on the bill so I chose not to pay it.’
On its website, Gordon Ramsay’s Plane Food Market is described as ‘faster than take-out catering and takeaway’.
The dining experience boasts of bringing ‘bold, global flavors and impeccable service’ to Heathrow Terminal Five.
Karl says he will never visit another Gordon Ramsay restaurant again unless he receives a personal apology from the multi-Michelin-star chef for his lasagne.

“People seem horrified that she would put her name on something like that,” she added, talking about the reaction on social media to her sharing her meal on social media.
His video received more than 136,000 views and nearly 100 comments after it was posted on social media.
‘I’m sure it would be much better if he personally cooked it himself, but it still represents him as a brand,’ he added.
‘Lasagne frozen then microwaved for £15 is a mental treat,’ said one bemused commenter.
Another added: ‘I would send this video to Gordon Ramsay. I’m sure he’ll be disgusted that they’re selling this.’
‘This seemed like such a big load of nonsense. “Third, I wouldn’t even let my dog eat this,” he shared. ‘I actually think my dog will turn his nose up at this hahaha. I think my dog would eat anything put in front of him, but this looked like a really juicy mess.’
Another wrote: ‘It’s inexcusable that when they promote their stars, they mention their names to make money off of poor quality.’
