15 Passengers Sustain Injuries after KSRTC Bus Overturns in Chitradurga

Chitradurga (Karnataka): Police said 15 passengers suffered minor injuries when a KSRTC bus overturned in this district on Tuesday morning, where the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle. It was stated that the accident occurred around 07:00 in the morning near Heggare in Chalakere taluk of Chitradurga district.
According to police, the driver of the bus from Raichur to Bengaluru allegedly lost control of the vehicle, hit a barrier and the bus overturned.
It was stated that fifteen passengers were slightly injured and were taken to Chalakere State Hospital. Police are considering the possibility that the accident may have occurred as a result of the driver losing control of the steering wheel after falling asleep. They added that further investigation was ongoing.
