According to the FIR registered by Delhi Police on Tuesday, the student complained to his parents about his teachers’ behavior, but his requests for help were ignored.
On November 18, while his father was away, the Grade 10 student left for school, leaving behind a devastating legacy of pain. Parents said they made numerous verbal complaints to teachers and the principal, but allegations of harassment continued.
The FIR recorded that he allegedly jumped from Platform No. 2 of Rajendra Place Metro Station. Police found the school bag with a suicide note in the subway station.
The FIR republished the content in which he apologized to his family and wrote that the school teachers had caused him deep sorrow. He asked for precautions to be taken so that no other child suffers like him. He also talked about donating his organs, apologized to his parents and brother, and reiterated that teachers were responsible for what happened.
The FIR stated that the student frequently complained about the behavior of certain teachers. The boy told his parents that some teachers scolded him, insulted him and tormented him mentally over minor matters. Parents said they made numerous verbal complaints to teachers and the principal, but allegations of harassment continued.
On the day of the incident, the father was away for surgery on a family member. The FIR states that the student left for school at 7:15 am. At around 2.45 pm on Tuesday, the father received a call informing him that his son was lying under the Rajendra Place Metro Station. He was asked to take the student to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The police investigation is ongoing, and statements from classmates and teachers are being recorded.
