18 Lakh Parents Receive Digital Progress Reports Via WhatsApp In Mega PTM

Hyderabad: Parent-teacher conferences in public schools saw strong attendance; More than 18 million parents have received their child’s progress reports digitally via WhatsApp, in addition to physical copies distributed in schools.

The meetings, held on the last business day of the 2025-26 academic year, brought parents and teachers face-to-face to review each child’s academic progress, attendance, behavior and extracurricular performance. Teachers informed parents about where their wards were doing well and areas where they needed support.

A senior official from the school education department said the digital reporting system was introduced “to ensure that every parent is informed about their child’s progress” and that this “will continue in the coming academic years”.

The Ministry said that parents responded positively to their calls, especially regarding receiving report cards. Physical copies were available for collection from schools.
