2 Held For Murder Over ₹30,000 Loan Refusal

Nalgonda: Thipparthy police on Friday arrested two Uttar Pradesh locals for allegedly killing a man at Kesharajupally in Nalgonda district for refusing to give them a loan of ₹30,000.

The accused have been identified as Furkhan alias Mahesh (37) and Ari (26), both natives of Baraut in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. They lived in a rented house at Bottuguda in Nalgonda and sold sarees door to door.

Additional superintendent of police G. Ramesh said the body of 37-year-old Bodh Sai Kumar, a traditional art form artist, was found on June 8 in a real estate venture near Kesharajupally in Thipparthy mandal.

Police said Furkhan met Sai Kumar while selling saris in his colony and the two became friends. Furkhan then asked Sai Kumar for a loan of ₹30,000, which he refused.

Furkhan allegedly lured Sai Kumar to a spot in Kesharajupally, where he and his roommate Ari killed him by hitting him on the head with a stone. They also allegedly stole six tolas of gold ornaments from the body.

After the murder, the accused went to Vijayawada to sell the stolen ornaments. The police located these people with technical evidence and arrested them.
