3 senior citizens killed, 20 injured in accident in Haveri district of Karnataka

Three elderly people, including a woman, lost their lives and 20 people were injured in the accident that occurred near Kakol in Ranebennur taluk of Haveri district of Karnataka on the evening of October 16.

The victims are Chamansab Kerimattihalli (65), Mabusab Doddagubbi (65) and Ningamma Jigaler (70) from Malebennur in Davangere district.

All the injured were treated at Ranebennur Taluk Hospital.

According to the police, the victims and injured people had gone to the wedding in a mini transport vehicle. The accident occurred while returning home. It was reported that the driver lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into a truck trailer parked on the roadside near Kakol.

Ranebbur Rural police registered a case.
