30 of 70 detained youth released; Ladakh’s land, jobs and livelihood would remain protected: Chief Secretary

The Ladakh administration said that 30 of 70 young people detained during the September 24 protests in Leh on 4 October 2025 Saturday were released and that land resources, work and livelihood will be protected in the region.
Ladakh Chief Secretary Pawan Kotwal said, «We were released 30 for the detention of 70 young people who were misunderstood by leaders because of their personal gains. 40 young people who custody of the judiciary will be released on court decisions, he said.

Meanwhile, Dorjay Gyaltsan, a member of the Polish Bar Association, said, “The Sulhamer investigation against the violence of the Polish does not go in the right direction. The detainees are harassed.” He said.
