39 students of Kothapeta Selected for IIITs

KAKINADA: As many as 39 students from Kothapeta constituency alone got seats in IIIT; these include 15 students from Kothapeta mandal, 11 students from Atreyapuram mandal, 8 students from Alamuru and five students from Ravulapalem in Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district.

Kothapeta MLA Bandaru Satyananda Rao held a meeting with the students and welcomed them to Ravulapalem on Monday.

The MLA said that the government led by education minister Nara Lokesh has paved the way for a bright future for these students with the encouragement of parents and hard work of teachers.

He reminded that when he was elected as MLA for the first time, the school and hostel infrastructure in the district was inadequate. “However, after Chandrababu Naidu assumed office as CM in 1995, school and hostel development work was done.”

The MLA highlighted initiatives such as teacher recruitment, reforms in the counseling process, and a strong focus on educational development, all of which helped advance the education system.

He praised Lokesh for introducing several qualitative reforms in the education system and improving government schools since taking over as education minister.

The MLA said efforts to ensure quality teaching along with recruitment of teachers and implementation of the 100-day plan have yielded remarkable results in the Class X examinations. He said that Dokka Seethamma Lunch programme, Sarvepalli Radhakrishna Vidyardhi Mitra kit programme, etc. have been implemented successfully.

Students selected for IIIT talked about how their teachers taught classes and made efforts to improve their skills.
