System Failures Create More Hidmas and Ravis, Says CPI Leader Narayana

CPI leader Narayana made strong statements on Sunday, stating that the killing of one ‘Hidma’ would only lead to the rise of a thousand more, pointing out deep-rooted systemic failures. He said that even a knowledgeable person like Immdai Ravi gets misguided due to flaws in the system.

Narayana admitted that he too was watching movies for free on ‘iBomma’ and said he was just checking how people access movies without paying hundreds of rupees. He argued that individuals like Ravi will continue to emerge unless the gaps in the system are addressed.

The CPI leader added that one person may do good while another does harm, and punishing people alone will not solve the problem. “If one Ravi is killed or imprisoned, a hundred more will come,” he said. He emphasized that hanging ‘iBomma Ravi’ will not do any good to the society, but taking strict action against the film mafia will help.

Criticizing the high ticket prices and millions spent on the industry, Narayana questioned whether the government was supporting the exploitation of common people. He reiterated that the system itself creates people like iBomma Ravi and even the police admitted that unless systemic problems are fixed, more such people will emerge.

He concluded that as long as these conditions persist, more “Hidma” and “Ravi” will continue to emerge.
