42-year-old woman found alive after being locked in childhood room for almost 30 years

The police informed the police and questioned the 82-year-old homeowner about what happened inside.
A terrifying case has emerged in Poland in which a 42-year-old woman emerged from her childhood room after nearly 30 years. When Mirella was 15, she was locked in her room by her family. Because his parents reported him missing to the police in 1998, neighbors assumed he had left home. Those who had known him since his teenage years were shocked to learn that he had been locked in the room for so many years. According to the police, Mirella had contracted a life-threatening infection in the last few days and would have died if she had not been removed from the room. The discovery occurred in July in the town of Swietochlowice in southern Poland. But the case has only now come to light, with locals launching a fundraising campaign to help his recovery. “Doctors determined he was just days away from death due to infection,” one person wrote in the post. Mirella has been hospitalized for two months and has been battling infections and other health problems caused by living in the same room for nearly 30 years.
In July, residents heard some commotion inside. The police informed the police and questioned the 82-year-old homeowner about what happened inside. He tried to reassure them that everything was fine. Officers also spoke to Mirella, who assured them nothing was wrong. However, they noticed serious injuries to his legs and called an ambulance. Doctors were shocked by her condition and said Mirella was “only a few days away from death.”
The fundraising post also states that Mirella “has been hospitalized for the past two months due to her critical condition. People who knew Mirella thought she had left the ‘family’ home nearly 30 years ago.” He also states: “Many things are unknown and many facts remain unexplained at this time. One thing is certain: the truth must be uncovered as to why this young, healthy 15-year-old girl stopped leaving home and disappeared without a trace.”
Polish woman had never been to a doctor
In the post, Mirella is quoted as saying that she “never saw her city develop” and that she “lost many things, never went to the doctor, never got an ID, never went for a walk or even went to the balcony.” Additionally, “His hair and teeth are in very bad condition, even his health is at risk.”
Recalling the scene in the second-floor flat, witnesses described Mirella looking “extremely neglected” and her legs “appearing to have rotted”. A neighbor remembered seeing Mirella when she was young. “When I visited my grandmother during the holidays, we used to play in front of the building. Then she mysteriously disappeared.” His family kept him locked in that tiny room for 27 years, and since then neighbors believe the elderly couple were the only people living in the flat. A judicial investigation has been launched.
