5 Students Secure 100 Percentile

Hyderabad: Five students from Telangana secured 100 percent in JEE Main 2026 Paper-1 for admission to BE and BTech courses in premier institutes, according to the results announced by the National Testing Agency on Monday. The five tops were Mantha Shiva Kamesh, Dornala Bhavittesh Reddy, Sai Rithvik Reddy Venkatreddy Valla, Vivan Sharad Mahiswari and Rishi Premnath.
Overall, 26 candidates scored 100 percent in JEE Main across the country. Mallavarapu Aasna emerged as Telangana’s women’s winner with 99.99 percent, while Nanala Naga Chaitanya emerged first in the PwBD category with 99.78 percent. In the ST category, Mokalla Sharath Chandra scored 99.97 percent.
JEE Main acts as a gateway for admission to NITs, IIITs and other top engineering colleges across the country.
Toppers said they are now aiming to get into top IITs by securing good ranks in the upcoming JEE Advanced.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle Bhavittesh Reddy, joint rank list (CRL)-1 said that his next target is JEE Advanced. “I followed the schedule and worked 12 hours a day. Whenever I felt stressed, I would sit quietly for a while or sleep,” he said. He added that he decided to go to IIT in the 9th grade and started intensive preparations from the 11th grade.

Sharad Mahiswari (CRL-19) said that he has never found any subject or topic difficult. “I am aiming to get into IIT Bombay and my current focus is on JEE Advanced,” he said.
Sai Rithvik Reddy (CRL-14) said that he did not expect such a good result and was surprised by his percentile. He said that to save time, he took the exam first with Physics, then with Mathematics and Chemistry. “I want to achieve my goals by joining IIT Bombay,” he said, revealing that he manages stress by playing table tennis.
NTA conducted Session-1 in January and Session-2 in April. A total of 11,10,904 people registered for the 2nd Session and 10,34,330 of them appeared for the exam.
